How to Ace Your Client Interview as a Filipino VA

You passed the qualifying interview and the HR interview. Now comes the conversation that matters most: meeting your prospective Australian client. Here is how to make it count.

Know their business before the call

Spend thirty minutes on the client’s website, socials and Google reviews. Australians appreciate candidates who mention specifics: “I saw you service the Brisbane area and post before-and-after photos every week.” That single sentence tells them you do your homework.

Set up your space like it’s day one

Test your headset, camera and internet an hour before. Sit somewhere quiet with good light. A clean, professional video call is the strongest proof that your home office is ready for real work.

Speak plainly and honestly

Australian business culture is direct and informal. If you don’t know a tool, say so, then mention how quickly you learned the last one. Overclaiming is the fastest way to lose trust; honest confidence is the fastest way to build it.

Ask your own questions

An interview goes both ways. Ask what a great first month looks like, which tools they live in every day, and how they like to communicate. Clients remember candidates who interview them back.

Let the support system work for you

Remember: you are not walking in alone. MyWorkspace HR prepares you before the call and stays with you after it. If you have questions at any stage, reach out to the team.
